Briefly, describe your wedding photography service.
I offer beautiful pictures, a flexible package and I’m a hard working, nice guy. :}
Do you shoot film or digital?
I shoot a combination. Most of the pictures are shot digitally. My digital camera works fast and I’m able to capture those fleeting moments with it. My large film camera is best for the formal pictures. If you’d like the entire wedding shot digitally or on film I can do that, too.
May I keep the negatives and digital files?
Yes. That’s a standard part of the package. You then have the option of making reprints/enlargements yourself, having me do it, or do it through Pictage.com.
Tell me more about the Pictage.com service.
Within a few weeks after your wedding, all your pictures will be posted on www.pictage.com and available for friends and family. Reprints, enlargements, albums and cards can be ordered from there or you can do it yourself since you have control of the negatives and the digital files.
What about costs and packages?
Do you have back up equipment?
Absolutely. I bring at least three cameras, an extra flash unit and plenty of batteries and film.
How experienced are you?
I’ve been a professional photographer since 1988 and specializing in weddings since 1993.
Do you use a flash?
I like to avoid flash whenever possible - the pictures look more natural without it. When I do use flash I have a large unit that gives plenty of light. During the ceremony I only use flash for coming down the aisle. For the formal pictures I bring in a studio lighting unit for a finished, sharp and professional look.
Do you prefer to shoot indoors or outdoors?
While I like the natural light and backgrounds of outside pictures, I’m equally at home indoors.
Do you bring an assistant?
Yes. While I do all the shooting, my assistant helps with equipment, loading film and making the formal pictures session run efficiently and smoothly.
Can I have some of the day shot in black and white?
Certainly. As you can see from the rest of the website, black and white is a specialty of mine.
What’s your personality?
This may seem like an odd question, but I think it’s an important one. When a bride and groom are asked to comment on their wedding photographer they most often talk about how easy he/she was to work with. Let’s face it, the wedding day is a fun and happy occasion, but it can also be long and intense. The last thing you need is a photographer who is not kind, understanding, accommodating and good with people. I’m proud to say that I usually hear, “I’m glad we went with you” when I give the couple their pictures. I’m a nice guy and a good photographer, if I do say so myself. I hope you think so, too.
